Optimise Vehicle size for delivery area 

For some delivery routes the size of the vehicle is restricted due to the accessibilty of one or more delivery point.  This means a smaller than optimum vehicle is necessary to access some delivery points.  Using a smaller vehicle results in less payload volume and more frequent returns to the depots to be reloaded resulting in more empty or unpaid miles.  Utilising a Palfinger truck mounted forklift the narrow access sites can be accessed with the TMF while the vehicle is parked in a convenient place.  This allows larger vehicles to be utlised for greater delivery volume and subsequent improved efficiency. 
 

Back Loads / Mixed Loads

The Palfinger Crayler system offers the best possibility for delivering and collecting with the same delivery route.  If a curtainsided truck is used with a double deck then the vehicle has maximum load volume and load protection to collect and deliver all kinds of materials in any weather.

If the vehicle can collect / deliver a few more pallets then the cost of the delivery operation is spread further and individual delivery costs reduced.
