TRUCK MOUNTED FORKLIFTS

No risk of falling from vehicles

Working at Height

Climbing onto vehicles creates a risk of falling and injury.  Trying to reduce this risk with extra fall protection precautions and risk assessment paperwork can be a real headache.

  • Slinging – Tower crane or truck mounted crane offload requires the driver to climb onto the back of the truck for slinging.
  • Tail-lift – Even using a tail-lift creates a risk of falling from the vehicle.  Factors such as the weight of the pallet and slopes can dramatically increase this risk

  • Manual Handling – unloading the vehicle manually invariably demands the operative to mount and dismount the delivery vehicle often many times per delivery and multiple times per day posing a high risk of falls occurring.

The Solution

The Palfinger truck mounted forklift completely removes the need to climb on and off the delivery vehicle.  Quick, safe and easy unloading with no working at height problems.

In a tower crane situation the Palfinger truck mounted forklift can unload the truck, then slinging can be done at ground level for the tower crane to make the lift.
