The Truck Mounted Forklift uses brackets on top of the truck / trailer to lift itself clear of the bed, retract the reach system until the front wheels are above the bed.  Lower the wheels so in contact witht the bed and then drive forward until the forklift is inside / fully on top of the truck / trailer.  For this system the forklift requires all wheel drive and a ‘diff lock’.

EU Length – If Travelling in Spain, Portugal or Italy it’s not permitted to have a rear mounted forklift on a maximum length truck or trailer

Occasional transport – Collect or move the TMF with almost any vehicle with a demountable top mount

TMF Protection – If travelling long distances, and there is free space inside the truck, then some companies like to protect the TMF from the weather conditions
